Mr. Sam Ledwaba serves as the director of LEDWABA SAM ATTORNEYS. He is a procurement specialist as well as a civil and commercial lawyer. He provides his services to a range of clients, such as Governmental Departments on a Municipal, Provincial and National basis as well as private and state-owned corporations. He specialises in the following:

  • General commercial litigation for private individuals, state owned corporations and other legal entities
  • He was employed as Chief Director at the Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works in the Supply Chain Management Division where his responsibilities included managing and co-ordinating supply chain management, ensure compliance with construction regulations (e.g. CIDB), setting up specifications committees, evaluation of tenders in accordance with the National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, ensuring tenders are prepared for adjudication and co-ordinating activities of bid adjudication committees.
  • He was further appointed as Company Secretary of the Department of Transport and Public Works and advised the Chief Executive Officer on Corporate Governance issues, provided advice to the Board of Directors and he was responsible for attending to all legal matters including litigation and co-ordinating all Sub-committee meetings.
  • Rendering legal services to Metsweding District Municipality
  • Preparing council agendas and providing legal opinions on council items including the Municipal Finance Management Act, the Systems Act, Municipal Structures Act and legal compliance issues.

Mercia van Tonder is the legal secretary at Ledwaba Sam Attorneys.
